Modern Day A Shau
From Bob Witt. "Doc Mcbride, Mike Sprayberry's medic at LZ Tiger, took these pictures on his return trip to Vietnam. He returned the A Shau to look for his unit's MIA's lost at Tiger. Doc fortunately survived serious wounds received on the road below Tiger on April 25, 1968. Mike Sprayberry received the MOH for going out that night to rescue Doc & the rest of his patrol. Their unit was on board for the first Combat Assault's into LZ Tiger."

D/227. Camp Evans. Another Russian 122 rocket crater. Threw lots of dirt on tents. It was our good fortune that this rocket had a delay fuse. We were in my bunker fifty feet away.
